Recovery-focused education and training, together.

Inclusion (part of Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust), Thurrock and Brentwood Mind (a local charity), Essex Partnership University NHS Trust have provided the Recovery College in Thurrock for several years.

We’re thrilled to launch a new venture, joining forces with the Mid Essex Recovery College (part of Provide Community) and Trust Links (a local charity) to bring a Recovery and Wellbeing College to the whole of Mid and South Essex. Together, we offer an innovative, free, and confidential service that’s focused entirely on you.

The Recovery College offers a welcoming, educational space for anyone interested in mental health and wellbeing — whether you have personal experience or simply want to learn more.

Our courses explore how we can stay well and live the most fulfilling lives possible. We believe recovery is a personal journey of discovery — finding hope, happiness, health, and new opportunities. You don’t need any qualifications or experience to join. All courses are free, open to anyone aged 18 or over who lives in Mid and South Essex, or works in a caring or professional role with residents in this area.

While we prepare to launch our new collaborative programme on 1 April 2026, you can explore the current courses from Inclusion below. You can also visit our temporary webpage to see what’s available across all partner organisations:

  • Recovery is a journey of discovery that involves making sense of and finding meaning in what has happened, becoming your own expert helper, building a new sense of self and purpose and discovering your own resourcefulness.
